This introductory application presents graphical and charted information directly from the PRMS(c) Customer Master File.  The application will work with most versions of PRMS(c), in a multi-plant or single-company environment.

The application links directly to the AS/400 for real-time data access, but can also take a snap-shot of the AS/400 database and store on the PC for off-line use.

There is a built-in region/salesperson filter option that can be used to limit viewing and reporting data.

The main inquiry screen feature features a chart and graph showing two years of customer sales data.  Within the chart, the current fiscal period is highlighted, totals are provided for both 12-months and YTD, and both dollar and percent change difference are shown.  The graph show 12-months of this year and last year sales comparisons.

While viewing the inquiry screen, the figures can be toggled between gross sales, credit/debit sales, and net sales.  The default  filter can be overridden to have an immediate impact on the chart and graph.  There is also a Show Total button that can be toggled off and on.  When on, the chart and graph data will change to show summary data based on the current filter settings.

Supplementing the inquiry screen is a set of six reports that provide variations of summary and detail customer sales data.  And similar to the inquiry screen, there is a region/salesperson filter to alter the contents of the reported data.

For the manager or salesperson on the go, there is a PC database refresh option that copies the AS/400 data to a PC database.  Once copied, all the the system features can be reset to use the snapshot PC database.

Minimum System Requirements.  

• You must be using IBM's Client Access and you may need to install the latest service pack.  The installation application will run a compatibility test immediately after the README dialog to validate your installed version.

  • Client Access for Windows 95/NT V3R1M3 is NOT supported

  • Client Access for Windows 95/NT V3R2M0 requires SF59075 or later

  • Client Access Express for Windows V4R4M0 requires SF59557 or later

• Your AS/400 must be running TCP/IP and DDM.  See your MIS staff for assistance.

• If your PRMS environment uses multiple file members, it may be necessary to create logical files over a single member.  You may download our free utility to Create a Single Member Logical file or see your MIS staff for assistance.
